Ambitious engineering
E11EVEN Hotel and Residences is a new condo community currently under construction at a prime downtown Miami location. For this project, John Moriarty & Associates of Florida (Moriarty) is working with regular client Sieger Suarez Architects and renowned design firm AvroKO on interiors. A 65-story, 700-foot-tall tower, E11EVEN Hotel and Residences has a total of 375 homes (‘Beyond’ residences, the Presidential Collection and Penthouses), 36,852 square feet of commercial space, 2049 square feet of office space, and a multi-level parking garage. Set to elevate the residential market of Miami when complete, E11EVEN features smart building technology, a signature restaurant, resort style pool with private lounge areas, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
The next project takes us to Fort Lauderdale, where we find Society Las Olas, a 42-story apartment community. Moriarty is the general contractor of Society Las Olas’ second phase, which is scheduled for completion in Q1 2026. This development includes a roof top pool deck, modern gym, restaurant, and bar located in the lobby, as well as co-working labs. Its location affords soaring views, which are often features of Moriarty developments, as well a community feel, in a location known for its walkability and good public transport links.
Returning to Miami, we find Moriarty working on Society Wynwood, a 680,873-square-foot structure with 318 residential units, over 50,000 square feet of retail/restaurant space, and over 200 parking spaces. Tenants already announced include Bodega Taqueria, Dave’s Hot Chicken, Starbucks, Chama De Fogo, and Nacho Daddy. Prospective renters will have the option of an entire apartment or co-living options with ‘rent by bedroom’. Once again Moriarty is involved in creating a substantial pool and spa deck, as well as a gym, co-working space, entertainment lounges, and a yoga lawn, all of which are designed to work together to connect neighbors with the community.
Finally, we visit one of Moriarty’s most impressive projects – the Waldorf Astoria Miami. This tower promises to be the ‘tallest residential building south of New York’, and at 100 stories is significantly higher than any other building in Miami. This project encapsulates Moriarty’s ambition and engineering prowess, and with plans to include 360 residential units along with 205 guestrooms and suites, it will make a substantial impact on the Miami skyline on its completion in 2027.
