organizations to any fire incidents, thereby protecting premises, assets, and personnel. Each fire solution is custom-tailored to meet the specific needs of the business, ensuring systems maintain a secure and resilient environment against potential fire hazards.

Additionally, Pavion delivers a full range of business security solutions. From access control and visitor management systems that manage and monitor real-time access to advanced video and analytics solutions in the cloud, Pavion solutions provide comprehensive protection for commercial spaces. The company’s perimeter defense strategies are custom-tailored to fortify businesses against external and internal threats, ensuring a secure environment for assets and personnel.

With its Audiovisual System integration capabilities, Pavion delivers real time collaboration across clients’ facilities, enabling the simplicity and quality of desktop collaboration in large and complex spaces across the enterprise. Its wide range of integrated AV systems are tailored to specific needs, offering business grade conferencing and collaboration solutions, high-resolution video walls from the board room to command and control centers and network and security operations centers.

The company’s unique ability to design, build and service fire, security, AV, IT and critical communications infrastructure reduces the number of contractors required to complete a renovation or new construction project. Thus, improving coordination while reducing expense for the general contractor, developer and the business owner.

Seamless service delivery

Recent times have seen big changes for Pavion, as the business adopted a bold M&A strategy, and over the past three years it has grown its operations from 200 employees to 2800. Proud of the seamless philosophy supporting the strategy, Pavion worked hard to create a business that operates as a single, cohesive entity, while integrating people and policies from 23 separate companies.

“We now stand as one Pavion, easy to do business with and driven by a consistent service delivery model and outstanding customer experience. A significant accomplishment resulting from our standard business transformation program including migration to one ERP and standard IT infrastructure, EIN simplification, and brand migration merging 23 companies into one,” Alan Rosenkoff, Chief Marketing Officer confirms. “We have been able to retain the legacy expertise from each of the companies to then leverage that knowledge and deliver seamless services. Our culture is the reason why the company has had success and stability in its workforce, with some employees working with the company for over 50 years.

“As a result, we have the resources of a large company but the customer focus and agility of a smaller enterprise. Joe Oliveri, our CEO, always asserts that we don’t necessarily strive to be the biggest in the industry, but we are certainly focused on being the best and on providing the highest possible customer experience. This focus on service delivery differentiates us from the competition – while many companies can provide the same products as us, our innovation and how we deliver our solutions set us apart.”

Prioritizing communication

Having now established over 70 locations in the United States and serving 23 countries, Pavion still continues to expand to Connect and Protect more customers around the world, bringing best-in-class fire, security, and integration solutions together. From day one, the team problem solves with customers through the design, engineering, implementation, integration, testing, and training phases, also offering ongoing maintenance, management, test and inspect, monitoring, and subscription services.

“We work with a variety of customers,” Susan Post, Chief Strategy and Integration Officer, elaborates, “from small commercial enterprises all the way through to large data centers and hospitals, for example. We also appreciate that some customers will just be starting out, and we’re able to scale our offering alongside their growth. At Pavion, we very much focus on creating long-term partnerships. We believe in enduring relationships, helping our customers stay connected to their goals by providing dynamic service and solutions to meet every need.

“We have a strong background in data center work. By their nature, data centers are very unforgiving environments so there’s no room for error. We apply that legacy knowledge and best practice to all the sectors in which we work. Indeed, we work in some high-profile verticals, such as airports, which is another reason why customer service is so important. Even one minute of downtime in any of those types of environments is critical to operations.”

“The construction market is particularly interesting,” Alan adds, “and we understand how important it is for us to maintain a project schedule. We certainly don’t want to be the contractor that’s causing delays for other trades, and we understand the level of collaboration required across a construction project. As such, we’ll have a project manager or a superintendent on site to facilitate coordination with the other trades and to ensure we get the job done in accordance with the general construction schedule.”

“Also,” Susan continues, “when we consider a construction environment, site safety is of critical importance. We carry out a comprehensive site safety plan and review for every customer, covering certifications, expectations of our employees, and inspection frequency. It’s critically important that everybody starts and ends their day safe and well.”

Indeed, as an organization that can deliver most low voltage systems in a building, Pavion brings value to the construction sector. By providing the fire alarm system and security infrastructure, alongside support capabilities, working with Pavion eliminates the need for multiple subcontractors.

“We place significant emphasis on communication,” Susan elaborates. “From onboarding the customer through to readiness to close out the project, there are multiple steps involved and at no point do we leave our customers without up-to-date information. Communication is critical in today’s fast-paced world, and we make sure we prioritize it.”

“We can scale up and down according to the fluctuating demands of the project,” Alan adds. “There are sites where we’ll need to increase the headcount from four technicians to 30 in a week’s time, for example, and it’s crucial that we’re able to pivot and adapt to the demands of any project schedule.

“Despite our legacy expertise,” Alan shares, “as a brand, we’re still relatively new, but Pavion, as one organization, is quickly winning customers’ trust and market share. We strive to under commit but over deliver. We never say ‘no’, but rather ‘not yet’, and this transparency creates confidence. We have a really strong foundation but continue to pursue our M&A strategy to fill either pockets of geography or pockets of technology superiority that we’re looking to bring into the business.”

“We spent 2024,” Susan concludes, “building our infrastructure and integrating our teams and processes. So, now, 2025 is really about optimization and how we improve customer delivery while continuing to grow and capture market share.”
