“Our story began when Craig and Jerry Moyes acquired a bankrupt steel company and turned it into SME Industries in 1992. SME Steel, one of several businesses

Landon Moyes, President and CEO, returns to the conservation to highlight SME’s most significant projects. “We are proud of the projects we have contributed to and often feel great satisfaction when seeing one of the colossal structures our team has worked on for years. In downtown Las Vegas, people are surrounded by the buildings we have fabricated and erected, as we are particularly active in the heart of the city and have played a key role in shaping its iconic skyline. Two recent projects that I am particularly proud of are SoFi Stadium and the (W)rapper building. SoFi Stadium is a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue, representing a true marvel of modern engineering and architectural design. This project demanded an unparalleled level of precision due to its intricate steel framework and seamless integration of advanced fabrication techniques. Every element of the stadium was carefully planned and executed, which required exceptional coordination across disciplines and the capability to adapt to an ambitious and groundbreaking architectural vision. Green priorities

Indeed, as Brendan Smith, SME’s CFO points out, sustainability is one of the company’s highest priorities. “We are an American company and we’re proud to use American steel.
